Mic Sensitivity

A way to adjust the sensitivity of what the microphone is picking up so that it won't pick up background noise....also make it easier to have two people in the same room as separate characters.

your OS has mic sensitivity controls -- would be nice for Ch to give you a one-click way to get there

The only "sensitivity controls" I see is mic volume. That might work.

I think having a user-selectable sensitivity setting would be a good thing. The volume would have to reach a certain threshold before Ch processes it. Currently Ch does have a "Volume is too low" warning, so maybe the filter is already in place. It'd be nice to be able to adjust it. I can, of course foresee some issues with setting the threshold too high. I guess we're talking about a noise gate.

It might help in a somewhat noisy environment like my desk surrounded by computer fans where just the extra background noise can make the mouth shape flutter between "Neutral" and "M".

Another possibility would be to have a noise filter that could be turned on. I think, however, that would hurt system performance too much.

Of course, it's better to just record in a quiet environment. :)
